DHAKA: War crime accused Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Motiur Rahman Nizami was not produced before tribunal following physician’s advice as he fell sick early Tuesday.

He is in the medical under the jail authority as prescribed by the doctors. Central Jail Super Farman Ali confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said Nizami suddenly fell sick around 12:00am as he is suffering from high blood pressure.   

According to doctor’s advice, he was not sent to the tribunal, Farman said.

The jail authorities informed about the matter to tribunal that Nizami couldn’t be produced before the tribunal.

Tribunal has to decide whether the verdict would be declared Tuesday.

Replying to a query about the admission in hospital, Farman said this would depend on his physical condition.
