DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday asked India to extradite Nur Hossain, the prime accused of gruesome seven-murder of Naraynganj.
The premier made the call when visiting Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj met her at the PMO in the capital.
During the hour-long meeting, the premier sought to India for extradition of all Bangladeshi criminals, those went hiding there including Nur Hossain.
The Indian minister assured Hasina as saying, “Her (Indian) government is considering the matter sincerely.”
At the meeting, Sushma insisted on an increasing positive relation to Bangladesh and revealed Indian government’s position in resolving any problem through bilateral discussion.
The premier mentioned her government’s zero tolerance in facing trans-boundary terrorism.
Hasina affirmed Sushma that the soil of Bangladesh would not be given in using for terrorism against the neighboring country.
PM’s press secretary AKM Shamim Chowdhury told the journalists at a post-meeting press brief at the PMO. PM’s information adviser Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury was also present there.
