DHAKA: Two suspected muggers were shot dead and two police injured in a gunfight with police in front of Motijheel T & T School and College in the city early Sunday.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Sources said that the two suspected muggers received bullet injury in a gunfight with detective branch of police (DB) in the area around 2:30am.
Later, the injured were rushed to emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where duty doctor declared them dead.
Confirming the matter, Matijheel Thana Sub-Inspector Abu Taher Bhuiyan told banglanews, “The bodies were kept at DMCH morgue.”
