DHAKA: A woman was killed as a passenger bus knocked her in Rayerbagh area of the city on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Anarkali, 50, wife of Hazrat Ali.

Family sources said that a rashly driven passenger bus knocked her down in the area around 3:00pm, leaving her injured critically.

She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where on duty doctors declared her dead.

In-Charge of DMCH Police Outpost Mozammel Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
