RANGAMATI: Two people were killed and three others injured as lightning struck in Rajasthali area of the district on Thursday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Angthuima Marma, 17 and Mangchiu Marma, 7.

Local sources said lightning struck Angthuima and Mangchiu along with three others around 5:30pm, leaving them injured critically.

They were rushed to upazila health complex where on duty doctors declared Angthuima and Mangchiu dead.

Rajasthali Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) confirmed the matter to banglanews.
