RANGPUR: A person chopped his two wives to death in Khoragachhi area under Mithapukur upazila of the district on Thursday night.

The deceased were identified as Momena Khatun, 40 and Maksuda, 36, wives of Ilias Mia of the area.

Witnesses said that Ilias chopped his two wives dead with an axe over family feud.

On information, police recovered the bodies on Friday morning.

Locals caught the man and handed him over to Police.

The bodies were sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital; morgue for autopsy.

Officer-in-Charge of Mithapupukur thana Rabiul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
