SIRANGANJ: Two people were killed and five others injured in a road accident in Mohisluti under Tarash Upazila of the district on Monday morning.

The deceased were identified as Dipok, 42, son of Deben Haldar and Jakaria, 32, son of Abul Talukdar. 

Sources said that a Dhaka-bound truck collided head-on with a pickup van n the area around 6:30am, leaving the Dipok dead on the spot and injured six critically.

Later, locals rushed the injured to a local hospital where Jakaria died around 10:30am under treatment. 

Hatikumrul Highway Thana Officer-in-Charge BM Imdadul Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
