FROM LONDON: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina termed that Bangladesh’s good relation with Indian new BJP government by throwing all sorts of speculation and conspiracy as her government’s victory.
“Awami League government’s foreign policy is friendly relation with all, not enmity with someone and it has kept the bilateral relation with India on the basis of this policy,” she told.
The premier made the observation while she was talking to reporters in an open discussion at Hilton on Parklane Hotel meeting room on Wednesday noon where she attended the Girl Summit.
Hasina said who thought that after assuming Indian new government, Bangladesh will face problem only they can tell why they predict this.
“There will have various problems with any neighbouring county and these will have to be solved by mutual discussion and dialogue by keeping own interest of both sides.”
About maritime boundary verdict win she said, “We have gotten the maritime boundary by the international court with keeping friendship with India and Myanmar and our relation didn’t spoiled.”
Sheikh Hasina said, “The maritime boundary fixing issue was raised during Bangabandhu government and after his assassination, Jatiya Party and BNP didn’t raise the issue to India but we have done it.”
The premier also termed her meeting with British Prime Minister David Cameron in the sideline of Girl Summit as successful.
