DHAKA: Former lawmaker and renowned journalist Baby Moudud passed away at a city hospital on Friday.

She was 66.

She breathed her last at noon while undergoing treatment at United Hospital.

Baby Moudud, school friend of Prime minister Sheikh Hasina, is suffering from many diseases for long days. 

She was serving bdnews24.com as its social affairs editor.

Earlier, Baby Moudud has worked for many newspapers and magazine including the daily Ittefaq, Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha and weekly Bichitara.
