DHAKA: Government Railway Police (GRP) on Saturday detained a youth from Kamalapur Railway Station of the city with 1.5kg gold.

The detainee is Ibrahim Hossain, a middle aged man.

Sources said he came from Chittagong by Subarna Express Train in the morning.

GRP Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Majid said police held Ibrahim with 1.5kg gold from the Eid special drive.

Police is checking every passenger after arrival in the city.
