MUNSHIGANJ: Two people were killed in a road accident in Shamoshpur area of Sreenagar upazila of the district on Monday.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Local sources said a Mawa-bound rashly driven passenger bus of Great Bkrompur ran over two passersby while they were crossing in the area, leaving them dead on the spot.

On information, police rushed in and recovered the bodies and sent them to Munshiganj General Hospital. 

Assistant Police Super (ASP) of the district Kutub Uddin confirmed the matter to banglanews.
