DHAKA: The holy Eid al-Fitr, one of the two main religious celebrations of Islam, is being celebrated across the Middle East on Monday as Muslims around the world mark the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.

Muslims of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arab, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, Syria, Yemen and Palestinian are also celebrating the Eid.

Muslims around the world celebrate Eid al-Fitr to mark the culmination of Ramadan, while determining the exact date depends on observing the Shawwal moon.

Most of the Arab, European, American and Canadian Muslims celebrate the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr on the same dates as Saudi Arabia.
