DHAKA: A woman was killed in a road accident in Rampura Bridge area of the city on Monday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Nadia Sultana Roksana, 25, wife of one Abdullah Al Mamun, resident of Aftabnagar in city.

Assistant Sub-Inspector of Rampura Police Outpost Sudhon Chandra confirmed the matter to banglanews.

“A rashly driven microbus knocked Roksana while crossing the road on the Rampura Bridge with her husband, leaving her critically injured,” he added.

She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where on duty doctor declared her dead.

However, police held the driver of the microbus, he added.
