Ex-Deputy Speaker LK Siddiqui dies

CHITTAGONG: Former Deputy Speaker Engineer LK Siddiqui, also ex-Water Resources Minister, passed away at Mount elizabeth hospital in Singapore on Friday morning.

LK Siddiqui, also BNP’s central committee vice-chairman, breathed his last around 11:00pm at the age of 83, party sources said.

Aslam Chowdhury, general secretary of Chittagong (north) unit of BNP, confirmed the matter to banglanews 

LK Siddiqui was suffering from various diseases for long, he added.

His body will be brought to the country by Friday night.
