THAKURGAON: A Bangladesh national was detained by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) from Dharmagar border area under Ranisangkail upazila of the district on Friday morning.

The detainee is identified as Jahangir Hossein, 23, son of Hossein Ali, resident of Dharmagar Chikanipara in Ranisangkail upazila.

Jawans of 121-Kukradah camp's BSF detained him from beyond international Pillar no. 374 around 11:30am.

Confirming the incident, Major Tawhid, Intelligent Officer of Thakurgaon's 30 BGB, stated that, "The BSF men detained him on allegation of illegal entry to India. We have sent letter to BSF for holding a flag meeting to get back the Bangladesh national."
