NETROKONA: A district level leader died in clash between two groups of ruling Awami League activists over establishing supremacy in Lapsia Bazar in Khaliajuri on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Habibur Rahman Habib, 35, a local Awami league leader.

Khaliajuri Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abul Kalam Azad told banglanews that there was a longstanding dispute between two local Awami League leaders Kuddus and Khalil.

Their supporters locked into a clash in the afternoon, he added.

OC said that the hour-long clash left Habib injured and later he succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.
