DHAKA: A six-member parliamentary team of Islamic Republic of Iran will arrive Bangladesh on a 5-day visit on Sunday.
The delegation led by Fatemeh Rahbar, head of the Iran Parliamentary Fraction of Women and Family, is expected to reach Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in city at 8:40am on the day.
The disclosure came from a press release sent by the department of public relations of the national parliament said on Saturday.
The other members of the delegation are Nayereh Akhavan Bitaraf MP, Shahla Mirgalu Bayat MP, Sakineh Omrani MP, representative of Foreign Office of Iran Hamidreza Soltanpour and Protocol Expert Jalal Aboul Hassani.
Chairman and members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Women and Children Affairs Ministry, Iranian Ambassador to Bangladesh, senior secretary to Bangladesh Parliament and other high officials will receive them at the airport.
The delegation will visit the Iran Cultural Center in the city and give interview to private television channel Boishakhi TV.
However, during their visit, the Iranian delegation will make courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury and other high officials.
They will also visit important and historical places in Dhaka.
