NATORE: Three women were killed and injured seven others as a train hit a human hauler, carrying wedding party people, in Bagatipara of the district on Saturday noon.

The identities of the deceased are Sajeda, Julekha and Sundori. All of them hailed from Paikerdol village of the Sadar upazila.

Witnesses said the accident took place around 11:30 am when the Rajshahi-bound Barendra Inter-City train was passing the Yasinpur rail crossing. And at the same time a human hauler locally known as Bhutbhuti is trying to cross the rail track.

However, seven others were injured in the crash, sources added.

Confirming the matter, Bagatipara Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) AMinur Rahman said that the injured have been admitted to local hospital and clinics.
