NETROKONA: An activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was killed in a factional clash between two groups of the organization over establishing supremacy at Netrokona Government College on Saturday noon.

The deceased was identified as Mirza Aziz Aman Ipti, 20, son of Mirza Azizur Rahman. 

Sources said that Ipti locked into altercation with a student named Akash over establishing supremacy on Saturday morning. At one stage, two groups of BCL locked into clash around 12:00pm, leaving Ipti critically injured.

Later, locals rushed him to Netrokona Sadar Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.   

Confirming the matter, Netrokona Model Thana Officer-in-Charge AKM Kawsar told banglanews, “Police forces were deployed in the area.”
