DHAKA: Narayanganj City Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy and MP Shamim Osman are going to be interrogated by a high-level administrative probe body this week.

They will be quizzed about sensational case of abduction and murder of seven people, including city councilor Nazrul Islam.

Probe body member secretary and public administration ministry’s Deputy Secretary Abul Kashem M Mohiuddin told journalists on Sunday that the probe body would interrogate them.

“Ivy will be asked on Monday 10:00am at room of the ministry’s Additional Secretary Shahjahan Ali Molla at the Secretariat while Shamim will be quizzed on Tuesday 11:30am at the same place,” he said.

On May 7, the higher administrative investigation team was formed as per the order of the court.

Earlier, Narayanganj City Corporation ward councilor Nazrul Islam and senior lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarker along with five others were abducted on April 27.

Their bodies were recovered from the Shitalakkhya River after three days.

Nur Hossain, the prime accused of this incident and his aides Obaidur Rahman and Sumon Khan, whom were arrested from near of the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport of Kolkata are now in Indian police custody.

However, police held about 30 persons and seized a micro bus in this connection while the probe body asked so far 330 people.
