PATUAKHALI: A 19-year old girl committed suicide for not getting GPA 5 in Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations which results published on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Tania Akhter, 19, daughter of one Altaf Hossain, hailed from Jolisha village of Dumki upazila, also student of Janata Degree College.
Quoting family members, Officer-in-Charge of Dumki Thana Habibur Rahman told banglanews Tania hanged herself with her scarf in her room after getting her results in the afternoon.
On information, police recovered her body and sent to Patuakhali Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, he added.
