DHAKA: Government Railway Police (GRP) detained a man with 1,000 pieces of Yaba tablet from Kamlapur Rail Station in the city on Thursday.

The detainee was identified as Seim alias Shahin, 38, hailed from Chittagong.

Confirming the matter, Station GRP Officer-In-Charge Abdul Mazid told banglanews, “The man came to Dhaka from Chittagong by Turna Nishita Train, to sell yaba in the city, he was roaming around inside the station, and police caught him on suspicion, searched his boy and seized 1,000 pieces of the yaba tablet from his possession.”

A case was filed under the drug act in this connection.
