CHUADANGA: A special alert was issued on Thursday morning at 24-Point in Chuadanga frontier area to prevent the spreading of deadly Ebola virus.
A six-member medical team is conducting a health check up of the Bangladeshis returning from India and Indian citizens entering Bangladesh at Darsana border check post and Darsana International Railway Station.
Dr Shajamal, a doctor of the medical team working at Darsana International Railway Station, told banglanews: “We have been imparting necessary information on Ebola virus to the Border Guard Bangladesh (BJB) personnel, police and porters who are working here and checking up their health.”
“No Ebola affected person was found till noon,” he said.
Major Anwar Zahid, commander of Chuadanga-6 BGB, confirmed the matter to banglanews.
