Quartermaster found dead at Ctg port

CHITTAGONG: A Quartermaster of Lighterage ABM Afsar Uddin- 2 was found dead in the port’s outrage anchorage on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Pitul Gazi, 35, son of one Belayet Hossein Gazi, resident of Durgapur village under Muksedpur Thana of Gopalganj district.

In-charge Master of mother vessel Samia Zero M Rezaul Kabir confirmed the matter to banglanews.

“Pitul fell on the cabin’s floor and got hit at eyes and nose while turning the ship in the outrage anchorage,” he added. 

Rezaul further said, “No one noticed that Pitul was bleeding profusely. Later on noticing the condition, I took him to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital where on duty doctor declared him dead.”

Nayek Zahangir Alam of CMCH Police Outpost confirmed the matter to banglanews.
