DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Wednesday placed Shamsuzzoha on five-day remand in a case filed under Information Technology Act for commenting odiously about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Metropolitan Magistrate Erfan Ullah passed the remand order as the DB police produced Shamsuzzoha before the court with a 10-day remand plea.

A team of DB (South) on Tuesday detained Shamsuzzoha from Bhatara Thana.

A case was filed against him with Kafrul Thana of the city.
