KISHOREGANJ: Three people were killed and 25 others injured in a road crash in Baratia area under Pakundia upazila of the district on Thursday morning.

Of the deceased, one was identified as Swapon, a businessman.

Police and local sources said that a Dhaka-bound passenger bus collided head-on with an auto rickshaw in the area around 11:45am, leaving Swapon dead on the spot and 27 others injured.

Later, two others died after taken to Pakundia hospital.

Rests were admitted to Kishoreganj District Hospital and Bajitpur Jahrul Islam Medical College Hospital.

Pakundia Thana Officer-in-Charge Jakir Rabbani confirmed the matter to banglanews.
