DHAKA: A worker was electrocuted in a polyethyne factory at Dania area of Jatrabari in city on Friday evening.

The deceased was identified as Lutfar Rahman, 30, son of one late Ratan Sarkar, hailed from Srikrishnadi village under Bhanga Upazila of Faridpur district.

Family sources said that the victim came in contact with electric wires while working in the factory, leaving critically injured.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead around 7:30pm.
