NARAYANGANJ: Police recovered body of a cotton trader from beside the Dhaka-Narayanngaj link road in Fatulla under Sadar upazila of the district on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Nittoy Gopal Saha, 45, of Golachipa area of the city, who ran a cotton business in the city’s Nayamati area.

Victim’s wife Nitu Saha told banglanews that her husband went to Madhabdi of Narsingdi on business purpose, she had last contacted with him over cell phone at 8:00pm and later found the phone switched off at 9:00pm.

Being informed, she along with family members went to 100-bed Narayanganj General Hospital and identified the body.

Nitu suspected that her husband might have been murdered but she declined to talk anymore about the death instantly.

Cause behind the death could not be known immediately, police said .

Fatulla Model Thana Officer-In-Charge Asaduzzaman told banglanews, “The body was sent to the district Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, the body bore injure marks on the face.”
