Kushtia: Police Saturday arrested a Habilder of the district detective police and two Ansar men for allegedly committing robbery at a house here.

The arrested are Abul Kalam Azad, in-charge of the permanent police camp of Khustia Housing estate, and Ansar members Jahangir Ali and Safar Ali.

The accused were sent to a special court on Saturday afternoon and the court sent them into jail custody, denying them bail.

Police sources said they looted a motorcycle, 5 mobile-phone sets and Tk 26 thousand from the house at West Mojampur in the district.

An allegation was filed against four persons with Kushtia Police Super. The OC of Kushtia DB, Sarowar Hossain, filed a robbery case after investigating the incident.
