DHAKA: The cabinet Monday approved in principle a draft of “Nursing and Midwifery Council Bill, 2014” to form a council and an executive committee.

Cabinet Secretary Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan said it while talking to journalists after the Cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, at Bangladesh Secretariat.

The Cabinet Secretary said after passing the act, a council and an executive committee, headed-by health secretary, will be formed under the act.
