KUALALAMPUR: The families of three Bangladeshi workers, who killed in recent construction accident, will be compensated by Malaysian government.
Malaysian Minister of Human Resources Datuk Dr S Subramaniam came up with the assurance while addressing a conference of at Kuala Lumpur on Monday.
Datuk Dr S Subramaniam said that the contact with the families is underway through Bangladesh Embassy and after the scrutiny the compensation money will be handed over to the victim’s family.
The victims’ family would receive Malaysian Ringgit (RM) 25,000 each.
Earlier on August 18, three Bangladeshi construction workers were killed as a 300-tonne beam fell upon them in Kota Damansara area of Malaysia.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Faruq Khan, Mohammad Elahi Hossain and Mohammad Alauddin Mallik. They worked for Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Corporation.
