DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Wednesday sent seven people, including five doctors of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), to jail in a corruption case filed by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
Dhaka Senior Special Judge Court passed the order rejecting the defenders’ plea for bail.
The five physician doctors are DMCH former director Brigadier General (retd) Bazle Kader, former senior lecturer Dr Mohammad Mashur Rahman, Assistant Professor Atiar Rahman, former deputy director Mohammad Fayzullah and Habibur Rahman.
The other two defenders are former DMCH cashiers Nazrul Islam (1) and Nazrul Islam (2).
