DHAKA: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is going to submit charge-sheet against Dr Khandaker Shawkat Hossain, secretary of expatriate welfare and foreign employment ministry, and nine others for alleged involvement in taking plots through forgery.

ACC sources said that ACC found evidences of their involvement in irregularities and that’s why ACC submitted investigation report against them.

Preparing the investigation report, ACC Deputy Director Jatan Kumar Roy submitted the report to the office of ACC Director General (investigation & Inquiry).

The report would be submitted to commission on next week and then it will be placed to court.

On the other hand, ACC got a complaint on freedom fighter certificate forgery and ACC Deputy Director Julfikar Ali was investigating on it.

Earlier on February 27, the Anti-graft body quizzed Nurul Huda for alleged misappropriation in plot allocation in the Purbachal project, Uttara Residential project and Uttara Extension project.

On April 22, ACC filed three cases against expatriate welfare secretary Khandaker Shawkat Hossain for the allegation of illegal allocation of land to his wife, mother and himself.
