GAZIPUR: A Gazipur court on Thursday awarded death penalty to three people and seven-year rigorous imprisonment to one in a case of kidnapping and killing of school student Injamul Haque.

Additional District and Session Judge Khaleda Yeasmin passed the the order in the afternoon.

The convicts are Saheb Ali, Sumon and Nahid. 

The other convict--M Hannad--was awarded seven-year rigorous imprisonment and fined Tk 20,000.

The case statement said the convicts kidnapped Injamul Haque, 14, from in front of their house in Boardbazar area of Gazipur on October 10, 2007.

Later, they killed him as they did not get any ransom.

Tongi Thana police recovered the body.
