DHAKA: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) authorities on Saturday handed over the responsibility of investigation into Maulana Nurul Islam Faruqi murder case to Detective Branch (DB) of police.
DMP Media Center Deputy Commissioner Masudur Rahman confirmed the matter in the afternoon.
Miscreants, on Wednesday (August 27), hacked Channel-I Islamic program moderator Maulana Nurul Islam Faruqi to death at his East Razabazar residence in city.
Victim’s son Faisal Faruqi filed a murder case with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Thana against unnamed eight-nine persons.
