KISHOREGANJ: A Kishoreganj court on Wednesday awarded lifetime imprisonment to four people for their involvement in killing of a person in the district.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Al Mamun pronounced the verdict.

The convicts are Golap Mia, Farid, Samsher Ali and Abdul Kadir.

They were also fined Tk 10,000 each, in default, they will have to serve one year more in jail.

According to the case statement, the convicts killed Bachchu Mia on July 20 in 2006 over family dispute in Sadar upazila.

A murder case was filed with Sadar Police Station by victim’s brother in this connection.
