DHAKA: Saima Wazed Hossain, daughter of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, will be honored with ‘South-East Asia Region Award for Excellence in Public Health’ for her extraordinary contribution on public health development.
World Health Organization will give the award for her marvelous role on Neuro Development Disorder and Autism.
Health Minister Mohammad Nasim made the disclosure in Sonargaon Hotel in the capital on Monday.
The conference was held over the 32nd meeting of the Ministers of Health of WHO South-East Asia Region and 67th Session of the WHO Regional Committee for South-East Asia.
Dr Poonam Khetrapal Singh, regional director of WTO’s South-East Asia region will hand over the award on September 10, he added.
