DHAKA: Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Haque on Wednesday categorically said law would be formulated to impeach judges after the 16th amendment of the Constitution is passed.

The 16th amendment bill has already been placed before the parliament and it supposed to be passed in the ongoing session of the parliament.

“The act regarding impeachment of judges will be formulated within three months of the passing of the bill,” he said.

The law minister made the disclosure while talking to journalists after a meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Law, Justice and Parliamentary Ministry in the noon.

He added: “We will take expert opinions while formulating the act.”
