DHAKA: Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Central Command Council and several districts’ command leaders staged a protest rally in front of National Press Club in city on Thursday morning.

They organized the rally demanding the ban on AK Khandaker’s book ‘1971: Bhitore Baire’ (1971: Ins and Outs)’.

Meanwhile, they demanded exemplary punishment of the author of the book that has created widespread criticism across the country.

Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Central Command Council chairman major general (retd) Helal Morshed Khan Bir Bikram, general secretary Emdad Hossain Matin and commanders Amir Hossain Mollah and Abu Saeed, among others, attended the program.
