FROM JATIYA SANGSAD: The government has cancelled some 182 fake freedom fighters’ certificates and gazette as per the recommendations after investigations by National Security Intelligence (NSI).

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque made the disclosure while addressing parliament on Thursday in response to a question from Selina Begum MP. 

The minister also said that they would file cases against the fake freedom fighters.

The process of identifying fake freedom fighters is a continuous process, he told the House.
