TANGAIL: Police detained four fake DB police personnel from east side toll plaza of Dhaka-Tangail Bangabandhu Bridge in the district on Thursday morning.

The detainees are- Shahjahan Hawladar alias Bachhu Shikdar, 40, son of Lal Mia, Yunus Khan, 50, son of Sobahan Khan, Joy Mahmud, 32, son of late Latif Mahmud, Kibria Khan, 40, son of late Chan Khan. 

Confirming the matter Tangail Detective Police Officer-in-Charge Golam Mahfizur Rahman said that acting on a tip off lawenforcers in a drive detained the fake police from the area. 

“Police seized a microbus, four set police uniform, a walky-talky, two handcuffs and 8,000 fake currencies,” he added.
