DHAKA: Member Secretary of the National Committee to Protect Oil, Gas, Mineral Resources, Power and Ports Anu Muhammad on Saturday alleged that the government is providing assets, including Bay of Bengal, to India, America, China and Japan.
“The government is providing assets, including Bay of Bengal, to India, America, China and Japan under the dealing of the attractive packages,” he said.
The economist came up with the allegation while addressing protest program in front of the National Press Club.
Anu Muhammad told his audience that there are a lot of assets in Bay of Bengal through which the government can provide electricity to each family in low price for 100 years.
“The assets of the country will be handed over if deals are signed with the countries,” he said.
He also claimed that the government wants to protect the power by leaving all the blocks of the Bay.
