GAZIPUR: A fire broke out at a readymade garment factory in BSCIC area in Tongi of the district on Sunday.

Local sources said that factory workers noticed the blaze at the ground floor of Northern Corporation Limited at the noon.

On information, four fire fighting units rushed in and brought the blaze under control within an hour.

The reason of fire could not be known immediately.

Tongi Thana Officer-in-Charge Ismail Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
