CHITTAGONG: Two workers were killed and three others injured in a road accident in Noapara area under Raojan upazila of the district on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Mohammad Jamal, 28, son of Mohammad Shahidul and Mohammad Akter, 24, son of Mohammad Hadis Mia, hailed from Bhola district.

Police sources said a cement laden truck turned turtle as its driver lost his control over the steering in the area, leaving two workers on the truck dead on the spot and three others injured critically.

The injured were rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.

Police seized the truck but its driver managed to flee the scene.

Raojan Thana Officer-in-Charge Pradip Kumar Das confirmed the matter to banglanews.
