GAIBANDHA: A grandmother along with her grandchild was killed as a wall collapsed in Pirapur Matherpara area in Gobindaganj upazila of the district on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Manwara, 50 wife of Mahir Uddin and their grandchild Rumi Khatun, 3, of the village.

Locals said the soil-made wall of the house’s kitchen room collapsed around 10:00am, leaving the duo dead in the spot.

Officer-in-charge ABM Jahidul Islam of Gobindaganj Thana confirmed the matter.
