RUPGANJ (NARAYANGANJ): At least five people, including child and woman, were killed in a road accident on Asian Highway bypass in Daudpur union under Rupganj upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Quoting locals, Officer-in-Charge of Rupganj Thana Mahmudul Islam told banglanews that a Dhaka-bound goods laden truck rammed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Hothat Market area of the upazila, leaving four auto-rickshaw passengers dead on the spot.

Later, a child succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, he added.
