DHAKA: A student committed suicide hanging himself from ceiling fan in city’s Kafrul Thana area early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Iftekhar Hasan Shamim, 20, student of Government Titumir College, hailed from Matlab Upazila of Chandpur. 

Confirming the matter Kafrul Thana Sub-inspector Rasel Mahmud Sarkar told banglanews that on information police recovered the hanging body from the area around 1:00am. 

Family sources said that hi might committed suicide over love affairs.
