GOPALGANJ: Two persons were killed and three others injured in a road crash on Dhaka-Khulna highway under Muksudpur Upazila of the district on Tuesday. 

The deceased were identified as Nur Alam Mollah, 32, son of Sahjahan Mollah and Sabuj Mollah, 22, son of Aktar Mollah. 

Sources said that a Khulna-bound covered van of Sonargoan Currier Service ran over some construction workers in the area around 11:30am, leaving the two workers dead on the spot and injured three others.

Later, the injured were admitted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital and Muksudpur Upazila Health Complex. 

Muksudpur Thana Officer-in-Charge Salauddin Mia confirmed the matter to banglanews.
