FROM PIROJPUR: Plaintiff and witnesses of a case against death row convict Jamaat-e-Islami leader Delawar Hossain Sayedee have been kept at Pirojpur police lines for security concern.
Prior to that, they were kept at Parerhat marine police camp for last three days and security measures have been taken at their houses to ensure security of family members.
Four policemen led by Dianagar Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Altab Hossain are on-duty at the house of Mahabubul Alam Hawlader, plaintiff of the case.
Altab told banglanews that they have been kept on-duty for 3 or 4 days.
On Wednesday morning, the Supreme Court sentenced Jamaat leader Delawar Hossain Sayedee to imprisonment unto death for his crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971 differing on ICT’s one that sentenced the war criminal death penalty.
