NOAKHALI: A person was killed and 20 others were injured in a road accident in Mannan Nagar Chaurasta area under Sadar Upazila of the district on Friday morning. 

The deceased was identified as Selim, 40, son of Joynal Abedin, hailed from Uttar Shullakia village of Kaladrap union of Sadar Upazila. 

Locals said that a passenger bus collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the area around 9:00am, leaving the auto-rickshaw passenger dead on the spot and injured 20 others. 

Later, the injured were sent to Noakhali Medical College Hospital. 

Sudharam Thana Officer-in-Charge Mosharraf Hossain Tarafdar told banglanews confirmed the matter to banglanews.
